Your consumer rights

Your rights under Irish and EU consumer law come first. Nothing in these terms, or in any policy on this website, takes away or limits a right or remedy the law gives you as a consumer. That includes your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2022 and the EU Consumer Rights Directive: to goods that match their description, are of satisfactory quality and are fit for purpose, and to cancel an online order within 14 days of delivery. If anything on this website seems to say otherwise, the law wins.

Who we are

This website is run by Car Lift Company Ireland, a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd. In these terms, "we", "us", "our" and "Car Lift Company" all mean Car Lift Company Ireland.

Prices, orders and payment

Prices are in euro. No tax is added at the checkout, so the total in your cart is the total you pay. Delivery charges and any discount are shown in the cart before you pay.

When you pay, you are offering to buy the goods in your cart. We accept your order when we email your order confirmation. If we cannot supply something you have paid for, for example because it is out of stock, we will tell you and refund you in full. If we find a clear pricing error on your order, we will contact you before dispatch, and you can choose to go ahead at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

Payments are taken by our payment providers on their own secure pages. We do not see or store your full card number.

Please check your delivery address and contact details at checkout, and tell us straight away if something needs correcting.

Using this website

We provide services to you subject to the notices, terms and conditions set out in this agreement. You also agree to follow the rules, guidelines, policies, terms and conditions that apply to those services before you use them. We may change this site and these terms at any time. The version published here when you place an order is the version that applies to that order.

Please read this agreement before going further, because accessing, browsing or otherwise using the site means you agree to the terms in it.

You must not upload, distribute or otherwise publish through this site any content, information or other material that (a) includes any bugs, viruses, worms, trap doors, Trojan horses or other harmful code or properties; (b) is libellous, threatening, defamatory, obscene, indecent, pornographic or discriminatory, or could give rise to any civil or criminal liability under any law that applies; or (c) violates or infringes the copyrights, patents, trademarks, service marks, trade secrets or other proprietary rights of any person.

The site does not currently offer customer accounts. If Car Lift Company gives you an account identification and password to use certain parts of the site, the following applies. Each time you use a password or identification, you are treated as authorised to access and use the site in line with this agreement, and Car Lift Company has no obligation to investigate the source of that access or use. You are responsible for all access to and use of the site by anyone using the password and identification given to you, whether or not you actually authorised it, including all communications and transmissions and all obligations (including financial obligations) incurred through it. You are responsible for keeping that password and identification secure and confidential, and you must tell Car Lift Company straight away about any unauthorised use of them or any other breach or threatened breach of the site's security.

By using the site under these terms of use, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older. If you are under 18, please use this site only under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

Subject to this agreement, Car Lift Company grants you a limited, revocable, non-transferable and non-exclusive licence to access and use the site by displaying it in your internet browser, only for the purpose of shopping and not for any commercial use or use on behalf of any third party, unless Car Lift Company agrees otherwise in advance. Any breach of this agreement ends that licence straight away, without notice to you.

Unless Car Lift Company agrees otherwise in advance, all materials that are part of this site, including images, text, illustrations, designs, icons, photographs, programs, music clips or downloads, video clips and written and other materials (together, the "Contents"), are for personal, non-commercial use only.

You may not make any commercial use of the information on the site, or use the site for the benefit of another business. We may refuse service or cancel orders at our discretion, for example if we believe a customer's conduct breaks the law or is harmful to our interests. If we cancel an order you have paid for, we refund you in full.

You may not reproduce, distribute, display, sell, lease, transmit, create derivative works from, translate, modify, reverse-engineer, disassemble, decompile or otherwise exploit this site or any part of it, unless Car Lift Company gives written permission.

Delivery, returns and privacy

Our Shipping & Delivery, Refunds & Returns, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy pages form part of the information we give you before you order.

Our liability to you

If we break these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that. Our total liability to you for an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability or consumer right that cannot be excluded or limited under Irish or EU law. There is more detail on our Limited Liability & Indemnity page.

Law and complaints

Nothing in these terms takes away the protection of the consumer laws of the country where you live. If you live in Ireland, that means Irish and EU consumer law, and you can bring a claim in the courts where you live.
